My brother still has a working ZX Spectrum. It’s probably worth a lot more than the original purchase price!

My personal favourite “old” computer was the Amstrad PCW computer which massively undercut IBM, and made computing affordable for small businesses. I still prefer LocoScript word processing to MS Word!

“Seralan” understood the market place brilliantly and had (has?) a total disdain for waste and bureaucracy - which all good Tories should appreciate. However, he will soon come to realise that at least half the civil service could be kicked out without any noticeable loss of service to the public, but Pa Broon will simply not accept the medicine that he will prescribe. Lord Sugar, like the other goats before him, will get fed up and walk off - keeping the Peerage of course!

Sugar is a bit like Frank Field. If he could be left to do his job the way it needs to be done, he would be brilliant. But it won’t happen, which is a shame because those of us willing to put country before partisan politics know that without radical change, we are rapidly heading for bankruptcy.

I think I’ve gone a bit off topic there!

Sorry Dan but I don't buy the Guardian or any other newspaper for that matter. Why would you when you can read them on-line?

A sad day indeed, wasn't the same since they moved from 3.5" floppy disks to CDs!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/blog/2009/jun/08/pcw-magazine-closing you are still clearly getting your news from old school printed publications too! Didn't you notice this story in your well thumbed copy of the Guardian in June ? :)
