I have been toying with the idea of improving my blog by adding more pages that contain more static information. My previous blogging platform blogger did not allow me to do this. I also wanted to create something that would provide wider information about the ward and allow me more space to promote High Barnet in general. It seemed sensible to take a domain name that reflected that desire so I have chosen highbarnet.org. For the techies amongst you I am using wordpress to create the site and as I am totally new to wordpress this may result in some changes due to me getting to grips with the best way to do things.

I am also happy to consider guest articles or suggestions for the type of information you would like to see. So please comment and bookmark this site. The aim will be to have regular updates. I am going to list Barnet’s Highways works on the site and may well add planning applications. I have also added far more links to local blogs and residents groups. If you have any suggestions for other links then please let me know.
