The real worry that Save New Barnet have flagged up in this newsletter is the latest version of the Local Development Framework. That suggests that New Barnet is a suitable place for new superstores and flats - sounds exactly what both Tesco and Asda are proposing. If the LDF goes through as it stands it will destroy the character of New Barnet and at the same time undermine High Barnet as a shopping centre. Everyone who values High Barnet as a shopping centre should be very worried.
